Two Six Senses properties included in Condé Nast Traveler Gold List 2018

Six Senses Douro Valley and Six Senses Zil Pasyon joined the Condé Nast Traveler magazine's Gold List 2018.

BANGKOK – Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas is honored to have two resorts listed in Condé Nast Traveler magazine’s Gold List 2018. Six Senses Douro Valley and Six Senses Zil Pasyon joined the prestigious Gold List featuring the editors’ favorite hotels in the world spanning six continents and 54 countries, proclaiming that they’re the hotels they return to time and time again, and daydream about long after they are home.

As a bestselling and highly respected travel publication, Condé Nast Traveler magazine published in New York is recognized as a benchmark of how stories should be told in print, in a world where social media posts last for the blink of an eye. They have announced the release of a collection of eight themed volumes that will tell readers about why we travel and also reveal the 2018 Gold List. The properties  are currently featured on CNTraveler.com.

Six Senses Zil Pasyon was previously listed on Condé Nast Traveler’s 2017 Hot List for Best New Hotel; the resort opened in October 2016. Six Senses Douro Valley’s UNESCO World Heritage setting fronts onto the River Douro as it winds through the world’s oldest demarcated wine region. The estate covers 19 acres (7.69 hectares) with 57 guestrooms, suites and villas. The restaurant highlights regional produce and offers a new approach to food, Eat with Six Senses, another pillar of the Six Senses Integrated Wellness philosophy and an approach to food and drink that leaves guests feeling better than when they arrived.  Six Senses Spa Douro Valley comprises 10 treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor pools and a gym. It presents specialty and local therapies and multi-day programs. An outdoor yoga deck is ideal for individuals and groups. The sun-kissed valley is at the heart of the region that offers activities and excursions by foot, vehicle or water.

Six Senses Zil Pasyon is the sole resort located on Félicité, the fifth largest island in the 115-island archipelago of Seychelles. With dramatic granite boulders and lush foliage, the newest opening in the Six Senses portfolio offers more than just white sandy beaches. The resort comprises of 30 private pool villas, and a Six Senses Spa perched at the edge of the ocean with views out to neighboring Coco and Sister islands. With five treatment villas, all prepared for double treatments, couples can enjoy signature massages to the sound of the ocean. The restaurants offer a mix of Eastern and Western fare, with local produce and Creole flavors inspiring the dishes and nightly specials adding to the variety. With unique destination dining options, such as sunset cocktails on the Top Hill, guests are invited to explore the island in unique ways. For those with a love of the ocean, the waters surrounding Félicité are rich with marine life, making it the perfect oasis for snorkeling or diving. Six Senses Zil Pasyon is committed to conserving the environment in which it operates, and the resort runs several programs to promote endemic and indigenous species both on the island and in the surrounding waters.
