The outlook for gold is positive heading into the second half of 2022, all driven by inflation and money printing.

Gold is an ‘inflation hedge’; an investment that ostensibly protects the buyer from decreased purchasing power of a currency due to rising prices.

Which is happening right now, everywhere.

“We have a positive outlook on gold prices as inflation is likely to be persistent through the year, despite rising rates, due to high energy prices, and as U.S. M2 money supply is up 42% since the onset of the pandemic,” Fundamental Research Corp head of research Sid Rajeev said recently.

“As we are expecting stronger gold prices, we are expecting a 15% bump in sector valuations.”

Miners have fallen from their highs last month, “offering attractive entry points”, FRC says.

But it’s not just the miners that look attractive.

For the first time in a long time, good news stories are moving the dial on junior ASX gold stocks.

Speaking with a handful of emerging companies making waves in the sector — along with industry experts — Stockhead finds out what’s in store for gold in the back half of 2022, and beyond.
