Luxury Gold has introduced its new 2020 worldwide collection, including over 50 guided journeys across six continents blending independent and guided exploration. The three new itineraries include: Elegance of the Pharaohs, Art, Culture & Cuisine of Colombia and Vibrant Eastern Canada & the USA.

Here are some of the new Luxury Gold 2020 itineraries and Chairman’s Collection experiences:

Elegance of the Pharaohs

Guests will begin this 10-day journey inside Pyramid-view rooms at the Mena House Hotel in Cairo. They will explore the Egyptian Museum, the Tomb of Tutankhamun, and venture inside the Great Pyramids while joined by an Egyptologist. The adventure continues with guests traveling onwards to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Luxor to embark on a five-day cruise on the River Tosca, where they can enjoy an onboard gala reception and dinner. They will also enjoy a private visit to the Temple of Luxor. Highlights include traveling to a Nubian village and meeting a local family in their traditional dwelling, as well as experiencing a colonial English-style high tea at Aswan's Old Cataract Hotel's terrace during sunset.

Art, Culture & Cuisine of Colombia

On this 10-day journey, guests will enjoy private visits to the Gold Museum and the Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral. An after-hours visit to the Antioquia Museum in the city of Medellín is included, as guests are joined by Alejandra Quintana, the daughter of artist Fernando Botero. In Bogotá, they will explore the culinary scene through its local markets including Paloquemao Market with Chef Sofia Gaviria. Guests will learn about the local produce, shop for fresh ingredients and prepare a traditional Colombian meal for lunch. They will then enjoy an exceptional dining experience in Cartagena as they meet Chef Jorge Escandon for lunch at La Cevicheria.

The Chairman’s Collection Experience - Count Richard de Warren

Personally curated by The Travel Corporation’s Chairman Stanley Tollman, the Chairman’s Collection offers an opportunity to meet notable locals to learn about their family heritage and connections with the destinations. On the 10-day journey, guests will have the opportunity to meet Count Richard de Warren who invites clients to his mansion for a traditional Parisian meal. Count Warren, who is a direct descendent of the Sommier family, will recall personal stories about the history of his family. The historical mansion’s original interior decor has been transformed into a boutique hotel, the Hôtel Alfred Sommier. As a VIP experience, guests will have access to the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte. Guests can choose to walk through the gardens guided by the estate’s lead gardener or learn about the subtleties of high society during a dining etiquette class hosted by the owner’s professional butler.
