Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Insurance and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which rose 3.63% or 66.00 points to trade at 1882.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) added 2.80% or 114.00 points to end at 4189.00 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE:MZTF) was up 2.34% or 202 points to 8850 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TASE:ORL), which fell 2.64% or 4.7 points to trade at 173.4 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) declined 2.19% or 35 points to end at 1565 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) was down 2.14% or 560 points to 25550.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 196 to 186 and 29 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.78% or 1.03 to $56.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.83% or 1.16 to hit $62.14 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 4.85 to trade at $1473.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.34% to 3.4589, while EUR/ILS fell 0.08% to 3.8325.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 97.610.
